George Floyd was brutally killed by police officers in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the pain of the Black community has been heard and felt all over the world. There have been several protests that have been held in Connecticut to stand in solidarity with the Black community, the Black Lives Matter movement, accountability for police brutality, and justice for the many Black Americans who have been killed at the hands of hatred. Many Connecticut citizens stand with George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement and have been caught in situations that are a breach of their civil rights and the right to peacefully protest. ⠀
