Where should you treat for German cockroaches?
Treatments for German cockroaches should occur in places where they (or their frass or droppings) are commonly seen. Focus treatment and sanitation efforts near food, water, and harborage sites.
Food
German cockroaches are omnivorous. They’ll eat your favorite foods, wallpaper paste, or your discarded trash. Some roaches will be getting food from sewers, but focus mainly on food sources in your control.
Water
Heat and humidity are great for German cockroaches. Their attachment to water draws them toward kitchens and bathrooms especially if the water source is near a food source.
Harborage sites
German cockroaches like to feel pressure on 3 sides of their body at once. They will seek shelter in tight spaces with minuscule crack entry points. Placing baits, liquids, or dust in cracks and crevices where they will squeeze in and out of wall voids maximizes the chance for success.
