We Contacted RoofworX in regards for removal and installing a new metal roof at the cottage in October. Flo contacted me shortly after emailing him, and listen to what our issues and thoughts were, to which, he came back to me with suppling estimates (3), samples, and explaining the quotes, material(s) and process on installation, so we can make a decision. We decided on metal roofing material and is made locally. Arrival was in 2 weeks from ordering it. Quality was as expected and well packaged, due to the longest metal sheet was 37 feet long. Well happy to say this was completed early November, and I am very happy on the install from start to finish. And to look of the metal roof was impressive to say at the least. He made sure that area was left exactly look like before the job started. First of all I am a very tough grader. My 7 is probably a 10 for most people. Overall I would give Roofworx a solid 9. Between June 24 and July 2, 2025 (6 working days) Roofworx replaced the entire roof structure on my double garage with a new truss roof rebuild.  The problem: Deterioration of the roof structure due to poor initial construction leading to moisture damage in the roof system. As with most retrofit/restoration projects on an existing structure there can be unique challenges that new construction does not encounter. In my case I wanted to retain and not damage the gable end walls and match the roof truss system to the existing roof pitch. The project scope was to be a repair/rebuild to the exiting dimensions, thereby avoiding the need for building permits and expensive time consuming variance procedures. Maintaining the stucco gable end walls in tact avoided potential issues with asbestos mitigation, thereby saving thousands of dollars on the total budget. A summary of Roofworx performance by categories is as follows: Reliability: 9/10, Florian was dependable and showed up on time to do the work (ordering truss system on schedule, start date, overall project schedule, follow-up adjustments to O/H door operations) Carefulness: 9/10, Flo and his crew (Ben+Nikita) were very respectful to not make a mess/create unnecessary damage to the existing structure, thereby avoiding days of extra "work for nothing" repairing or cleaning up after sloppy or hasty work habits. Because Flo and his crew were careful and respectful, there was absolutely no damage (even minor) to any other existing garage elements that were not replaced. Problem solving: 10/10, Flo did a great job developing the specs and dimensions for the truss system such that it would match the gable end walls (much trickier than it sounds). We encountered a couple of issues during the tear down of the old structure that required some adaptive thinking prior to installing the new trusses. There were 4-5 instances during the project schedule where Flo showed great adaptive thinking in real time or a willingness to slow down and not rush a decision and risk a small misstep. Workmanship: 9/10, Flo and Ben were careful during demolition. We salvaged and repurposed materials which reduced project costs and provided me with a small inventory of construction grade materials. Care was taken on the new construction with great attention to detail and quality of workmanship Pricing and Flexibility: 10/10, Flo was very fair in his initial estimate and was also open to options for further reductions to the project cost. (ex. reusing existing troughs/downspouts etc.) SUMMARY: Overall, I was very pleased with the client interactions, construction process, final project outcomes and reconciliation on final project costs. I have asked Flo to provide me with quotes for other work on my house and would recommend him to anyone doing any exterior work on their home or garage. I had considered about 7 other contractors to do this work in 2024 and was disappointed in all of them for various reasons. The project did not proceed last year and was postponed until I could find a contractor who could demonstrate experience with similar projects, reliability, adaptive thinking, manage scope creep issues and provide services at a reasonable price point. I am very glad I found and retained Roofworx to do my garage roof replacement project in 2025 and I am sure you would be very pleased with Roofworx for any work they undertake on your home.
