DO I NEED TO REPLACE MY PLYWOOD!!??
Short answer is no. However, if there is a lot of rot and it is super soft, then yes, we have to replace it.
WHY DO I HAVE TO REPLACE THE BAD PLYWOOD?
When plywood is rotten it is usually wet and very soft. The moisture can eventually create a lot of black mold on the plywood and spread through your attic. Also, when we get heavy snow storms, those soft spots could possibly collapse causing major damage.
HOW MUCH IS NEW PLYWOOD?
When we do a full replacement, we will change one or two boards of plywood for FREE!! If we need to change more than 2 boards, we have to call a timeout and talk about the price increase. We typically charge $150 per sheet of plywood to replace.
