5 stars for the medical staff. The doctor was awesome. However, my other experiences resulted in a lower rating.
I went to the urgent care and was incredibly pleased with both the nurse and the doctor. They both took their time with me, listened intently, and addressed my concerns. I will absolutely recommend them to people that I know. The doctor, in particular, was incredible.
Here is the issue. Doctor tells me to call him in 2 days if I'm not feeling better. I thought this was very kind but hoped I would not have to take him up on that. We had two treatment plans - one for that day, and a tentative one to begin two days later upon my request.
Alas, I did not feel better 2 days later. When I called in the afternoon 2 days later, all I heard was, "Hello?" Now, I don't need you to sing to me or give me a catchy greeting. But at this point, I thought I dialed the wrong number. I said, "Is this the urgent care?" And a voice said, "yes." OK, not the best customer service but I can look past that. I share my information and she starts mentioning the method of payment I used at my visit two days prior. Not sure why that is relevant when I'm asking to speak to the doctor and youvalready confirmed I am a patient but again, I looked past it and remained calm. During our brief conversation, she stated, "we are really busy" a MINIMUM of 3x. I get it. I said, "I understand. May I leave a message with the doctor?" The lady had an attitude throughout the entire call. I never demanded to speak to the doctor so I'm not sure why she kept saying how busy they were, nor do I know why she acted bothered to be doing her job. She said it will be awhile before he calls and I said that is fine.
SHOCKER! He never called! Now, did the doctor receive the message? Maybe. Guess I'll never know. I then called back the following day and left a voicemail. Now it is over 24 hours later and I have not received a call despite calling twice.
Do I have high expectations for an urgent care? Maybe. But you can't knock me for taking the doctor up on his offer and wanting an alternative resolution for my illness.
