Years of research into a backyard landscape transformation lead us to Rolling Stone Landscapes. Legend of a guy whom took all the worry of dealing with Council and even meeting with them on site to address their concerns to ensure DA approval was obtained as efficiently as possible. Following DA approval the exciting construction process begins. The RSL construction team expertly lead by Mick (another legend!) executed our project flawlessly. Integrity. When you are selecting a company that will design and/ or construct your landscape this is quality you want foremost. Dean Herald and the Rolling Stone Landscape team consistently displayed integrity throughout their engagement with us. Here is how: Design: they listened to our brief and Dean inspected our property with the builder. This ensured the home and landscape worked seamlessly together. Dean is able to mix the practical needs of a family and also his own aesthetic and flair to give you a design you cannot wait to be built. We really appreciated the 3D fly through model. Construct: What a great bunch of men and women at Rolling Stone! We lived on site for most of the construction and we always found the staff to be approachable, informed and professional. If they could not answer a question, they'd make sure the message went to the site manager or Dean and we'd get a call or email later that day. Post construction: This is where you know you've selected the best. Dean and the team have been great answering follow up questions on plants and other aspects of the landscape. They have checked drainage after large rainfall to ensure everything worked as was planned and made changes where needed. Also, they suggested trades we'd need post construction and they've all worked out great too. I highly recommend Dean Herald and Rolling Stone Landscapes. To this day I am unsure why Dean thought these giant conifers would work in an average suburban backyard. Thirteen of them planted one metre apart. Our seven neighbours are beyond upset and hack at them on their side to get light and space into their own gardens. One neighbour in a battle axe block at our rear has no afternoon sun because of them. Nothing grows underneath them except for weeds. Our pool is often full of pine needles after a wind. One tree broke a glass panel around our pool. The grass has been replaced twice but cannot grow with the trees. We relied on Dean’s garden expertise to select the correct plants for our garden long term and we are deeply disappointed by this result.

We engaged Rolling Stone Landscapes 12 months ago to design our landscaping and pool for our new home build. The design was second to none, symmetrical lines and functional for our growing family. Dean listened to our needs and designed the landscaping to match. We are now into the building phase and the quality of work is second to none. The stress of doing two such large life events is huge, and the last thing we needed was another strain caused by landscaping. Absolutely bang on the money. All our desires and wants were addressed, and some we didn't even know we had. The garden and landscaping turned out exceptionally, a haven from the stress and rigours of day to day life. Truly they achieved a 5 star resort style atmosphere.
