We extended the living area of this 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲, which required significant structural changes, including the installation of a 3-tonne steel beam. This challenging process involved lifting the beam into a fully furnished house using a crane, placing it on skates, and then carefully positioning it with a material hoist.
The upstairs verandah also received an upgrade with a new base and tiling to ensure proper water drainage, as the existing balcony was directing water to the side of the home.
Inside, we added a coffered ceiling and installed custom cabinetry against beautiful VJ paneling to enhance the space with character and functionality.
During the strip-out process, we discovered termites 🐜🚫 that had fortunately only damaged the internal mouldings. The termites were promptly treated, ensuring the house remained structurally sound and termite-free.
This project not only expanded the living space but also improved the home's durability and aesthetic appeal.
