A Breastfeeding Checklist:
Mouth is opened wide with lips turned out. Chin and nose are resting against the breast. Areola covered by mouth. Suckling is rhythmic, deep, in short bursts separated by pauses. Swallowing is regular. Nipple is comfortable after the first few suckles.
