Ring House

I do not have the words to express how amazingly wonderful everything has been for my Mom in her introduction to and move to Ring House. The staff are extraordinarily welcoming, knowledgeable, reliable, responsive, and kind. The activities and food are top notch. The residents and staff have created a real and supportive community. I'd give Ring House ten stars if I could.

Toni was absolutely amazing. She was thoughtful, patient and understanding with my mom. We visited Ring House three times and each visit, Toni knew all of the residents that we encountered and you could tell that she truly cares about all of them. The facility and all the activities seem wonderful and my mom is looking forward to her move.

As with almost anything - you get out of it what you put into it. However, let me say that Ring House has been incredible in the breadth and depth of activities, trips and in-house activities for independent living for seniors. My mom has been there for 7 years and has made friends with both residents and staff. There is art, music, drama performances as well as restaurant, museum and store trips. The maintenance staff is on top of the facilities. Possible downside? Sometimes the lack of meal diversity gets some complaints but benefits - including an on-site health and wellness facility far outweigh the negatives.

The facility is well run, clean, and provides good programming. However, the food is abysmal and despite communication with senior leaders who say they are making changes, nothing happens. My mother cannot bring herself to eat the food at dinner and wakes up at 2am hungry and makes her way to the kitchen for a bowl of cereal.

Ring house is a very nice place to live. There is a large variety of activities offered throughout the day and the residents are very friendly and welcoming. Also, the staff works hard to please everyone. It is a very relaxing and comfortable place to live.

I've been helping a friend transition from a regular apartment to Ring House, and everyone there has been so helpful and friendly. Toni McCarthy was really flexible and gracious during our tour, and Amani Huq put in a lot of time and effort to guide us through the subsidy application (a pretty daunting process by nature, but she is clearly super-smart and we so much appreciate her help). Darzae Owens coordinates the moving and settling-in process, which is coming up, and has been kind and informative so far. My friend put off this transition for a long time, but her experiences so far have put her at ease and actually made her excited about this new chapter.

My parents resided at the Ring House for 9 years. This was the best move for them. Living at the Ring House was like living on a Cruise Ship. 2 meals per day served to you in a proper dining room. The staff became like family. The daily activities and social life was amazing. I was a very frequent visitor and the staff treated me like their family as well. Living at the Ring House gave my parents a wonderful place to live and certainly prolonged their life. Our family is forever grateful for the love and care the staff provided.

A culture of kindness, inclusiveness and intellectual stimulation permeates every resident or staff interaction. Residents don’t just live in Ring House - they thrive. Their personal strengths are identified and fostered. Their personal challenges are attended to with genuine concern and follow-up. The programming, which is diverse and responsive to the interests of the residents, is unparalleled in other senior living facilities. Because of the Ring House staff and community, I believe that my father is no longer 97 years old, but acts like he is 97 years young and having a grand time!

My wife and I had an pre-scheduled visit to the Ring House last summer and toured the facilities under the guide provided by one of the Rine House agents.. It was impressive by the good facilities and the friendly attitude of the well-trained staff.

Outstanding visit. The entire community is a sharing friendly place. Our guide and and the administrator showed a strong knowledge of assisted living communities far beyond their own personal experience.
