Kevin Costner was recently blindsided when he was served with divorce papers from his wife of 18 years, Christine Baumgartner. Costner’s agent informed the press the divorce wasn’t a mutual decision. Kevin is stunned Christine filed for a divorce.
Christine surprised Costner with the divorce and is now refusing to leave the couple’s $145 million dollar estate. The estate was purchased before their marriage and is his separate property, according to a prenup they both signed. But she is refusing to leave the home with their children unless Costner meets her financial demands.
This is Kevin’s second divorce with young children, so he may already know what lies ahead. Fighting for custody of his children might be the reason Costner recently resigned from his role on the show Yellowstone?
How will this all work out for Costner? A contested celebrity divorce involving three young children could be Dutton’s toughest challenge yet.
