Ridgeside K9 Indy

We recently added a golden retriever puppy to our family and as time passed noticed some puppy habits start to creep in as she got more comfortable. Barking, climbing on counters, and impulsively wanting to jump and run at people to get attention and pets. Our past dog developed some grooves and behavior patterns that were hard to change as an adult, and we didnt want that to happen with our most recent golden retriever puppy. With 2 kids and several friends and grandparents coming over, we wanted to get help before she got too big and it became more of a problem. We initially came across Ridgeside K9 Indy through a recommendation of a couple of friends after seeing their dogs behavior so well out in public. We were so excited to give it a shot, we called Kyle up that day, and after a conversation signed Skipper up for a 2 week board and train. While Skipper was at Ridgeside, Kyle sent daily videos and pictures showing her progress. You can tell he cares about every dog and the progress of their training. He balances obedience, fun, and compassion perfectly. After Skipper came back we have been in complete awe at her transformation. She is still the same sweet lovable dog that left, but her ability to control her impusivity and listen is AMAZING! Skipper went from a dog that was climbing the counters trying to steal food while our boys ate, or jumping at grandma as she walked in to get attention and pets - to a dog that now knows what is accetable behavior and restraint in certain situations. What is most amazing, is she can hold a stay for as long as we say while as much commotion happens around her. She lets the guests greet her instead of vice versa! Kyle not only helped show Skipper what acceptable behavior was, but also gave us the tools and training needed, to help shape the relationship with our dog. When we are both on the same page, it makes training easy. If you are on the fence, take my advice and give Ridgeside a call! It was worth every penny and such a great investment. What they are able to do in such a short period of time is amazing!

Kyle is an amazing trainer. We were really struggling with our new puppy BEAN (8 month aussiedoodle border collie) who was starting to display signs or leash reactivity. After working with Kyle our dog has dramatically improved. I feel much more confident and knowledgeable. Worth the investment! The skills learned were applicable for our other dog MILO (10yr dauchsand cocker spaniel)

I have a 6 month old German Shepherd puppy. We had 5 private sessions with Kyle and I cannot be more pleased with the improved behavior from her. This is my 3rd GSD and they’ve all had training from other businesses, but the skills I received from this training has been the easiest and most effective at achieving the behavior I’m wanting from her. Our family had recently adopted our dog from the Humane Society. He was just over a year old and after a couple of months we were struggling to get him to obey and listen to commands. He is a very energetic dog and would seem overwhelming at times. We began to look for training opportunities and found Ridgeside K9 and was pleased with the pricing and options for training. So I contacted Kyle and set up a training schedule. We are so happy we did! We went with the one-on one training for six weeks. Although we may have like to have our dog boarded, the six week one on one training helped not only our dog but myself in understanding how to work with our dog and mold him into a dog that listens, obeys, and know how to control himself. Kyle was very good with our dog and was able to explain to me the purpose behind why a dog may act the way they do and how to get them to act in a preferred way. Me and my wife did the One on One courses for our border-aussie-doodle Bean. We were near pulling our hair out with his energy levels but Kyle gave us new tools and methods that changed. Everything. Best ever trainer! My dog Obie, loved him. Now Obie is the best dog, listens to commands, I can take him outside without a tether, he doesn't jump on friends, stays on place. Highly recommend!

We had 5 in home one hour sessions with our 5 month old miniature Snoodle, Lola. Lot of puppy energy. Used positive reinforcement with her(treats and praise). WONDERFUL results!’! Crate training, clicker trained. Well worth the &. Kyle’s the best! And he was very loving with her…. and patient with me!
