Richard came out to give us a bid on the roof. He was very professional and experienced. When the crew came out to install the roof, they worked very efficiently and cohesively. I commend their professionalism in re-roofing the house and never wasting a minute of time. As a Realtor with 38 years of experience, I’ve worked with a lot of roofers—and unfortunately, many were not great experiences. Because of that, I was extremely apprehensive about having a roof installed on my own older home with a Roofer i did not know. I worried about the mess, surprise extras, damage to my deck and yard, and whether the crew would start the job and disappear. I was so pleasantly surprised by Richard Hockett Roofing. From the very beginning, Richard himself provided a professional, thorough estimate with 3 price options. The entire process—from tear-off to installation—was smooth and well-organized. The foreman, Kolby, was polite, efficient, and kept me informed every step of the way. He went out of his way to explain everything, which I truly appreciated. The crew—Scott, Austin, and Mike—were on my property for three days and could not have been nicer. They were professional, accommodating, respectful of my home, and even fun guys!.. be assured Ginger the office manager is awesome too! My yard and deck were treated with care, and the job site was kept clean. The roof is beautiful! and it was a very reasonable price! I am extremely happy with the work and the experience. I will absolutely be referring Richard Hockett Roofing to all of my clients and would not hesitate to use them again.

I engaged Richard Hockett from Wisconsin to replace the roof on my family home. From the quote to install and clean-up Richard and his team were professional, on time and provided excellent communication throughout. The work was started on time, a change order for dry rot (which was anticipated) was communicated and quoted promptly, repairs made promptly, and the project was completed on time even with weather issues. Highly recommend Richard and his team. Special kudos to Ginger in his office for promptly returning phone calls, communicating schedules, progress updates and working with long distance issues.

I would highly recommend Richard Hockett Roofing for any roof repairs or replacement projects. The home they worked on was a tile roof repair in a remote location. The positive experience started with Richard doing the bidding and Ginger in the office doing follow up. They have an easy to navigate approval process. With clear information and no pressure. On the day of repairs the whole team, Mike, Troy and Alan, that came to do the repair were knowledgeable, informative and very respectful of our space. They removed large parts of the roofing tiles until they could be very sure they had found the leak. The team worked until dark to get the job done. We very much appreciate all of their efforts!

Several months ago I was saddled with the responsibility of replacing the failed roof on my mother’s home. The house has a uniquely shaped, large roof with many challenging angles. The last roof was installed by a well known local roofing contractor who did a poor job and ultimately refused to stand behind the inadequate workmanship in the years after his company completed the job. That company was not invited back to bid the new roof. I reached out to ten roofing contractors and only received seven bids to replace the failed roof. Not all roofing contractors returned my phone calls. I was mildly pleased by the interaction with a few contractors, and not impressed by most. The bids varied from ridiculously high to unbelievably low. Not all “contractors” we’re eager to provide proof of Worker’s Comp insurance and some became evasive when asked about it. I also determined that the project would be completed using the highest quality thick composition shingle available. Several contractors did not like my choice of shingle and asserted that they preferred a different brand of thinner shingle as it was easier to work with and “just as good.” 😂 When it came down to making the decision, I went with a highly rated, five star local company, Richard Hockett Roofing (RHR). Richard came to our job site, listened to me, walked the roof, assessed the scope of the project and made reasonable recommendations to improve the roof. Ultimately I was convinced that RHR would provide the best finished product, for a fair price and that I would be highly pleased. Of the seven bids I received, RHR provided the most detailed and professional bid package. All of my questions were answered. During the selection process, I was advised by our pest work contractor that he preferred to work with Richard because “he cares about getting the job done right.” The RHR roofing team, Kolby, Austin, Mike, Scott and Ginger genuinely did an excellent job! The roofers were punctual, polite, professional and clean. They consistently worked as a team. I didn’t see people on their phones or wasting time. During the project there was a necessary change order regarding flashing and dry rot. The work was explained in detail and to my satisfaction and quickly completed. Ginger assisted from the office with explaining payments. The roof was completed in three days and I could not be happier with the finished product. RHR gets an A+, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating from me. Sure, this is a long winded review and I do not write many, but RHR deserved it. Disclaimer: I am not a Bot, designed to produce a false deceptive review for, RHR. Prior to contracting with RHR to finish my roof, I have had no previous contact with this company. Richard is not my nephew.

We recently had our 34 year old tile roof replaced with a new composition roofing and new gutters. Roofing is something you may do once or twice in your lifetime so it's difficult to know what to look for in hiring someone for the job. But I have to say, we made a great choice in picking this company. They are local, experienced, knowledgeable and actually happy to do the job. Richard's employees were also amazing. They were prompt, exceptionally respectful of our property and truly seem to love what they do. I am so very pleased that we went with this company and I highly recommend them.

Richard Hockett roofing replaced my roof in June of 2025. Their price was very competitive and service was excellent. The crew was polite and professional. They kept a messy job of tare off very clean and the neatly organized. They showed up on time as scheduled and worked until the job was done in 4 days. I couldn’t be happier with their work and feel great about supporting a local small business of people who hustle and do a professional job. I’d asked around for a reputable roofing company and Richard was recommended by prior customers and an industry professionals who stated “They do good work the right way.” After my experience, I agree. I’d be happy to recommend them to anyone who has roofing needs.

So very pleased!! Finally this weather cleared and allowed my roof project to happen! The entire Richard Hockett team stuck by me and made it a reality! Woohoo!! From the office with amazing Andrea, Nicole, and Richard to the install team of James, Scott, and Alex... everyone was top notch! The roof is done, now I just need to get myself in action and update the porch rail and supports and paint me some trim. My job now ;) Can’t wait for it all to come together! I've worked with Hockett on a previous roof fix and they performed great! Always go above and beyond. Couldn’t be happier. Thank you guys and gals!!
