From Nervous Beginner to Confident Driver: My Journey with Rhema Driving School
I still remember walking into Rhema Driving School on Lagos Avenue in East Legon, sandwiched between KFC and Mensvic Hotel, feeling both excited and slightly nervous. I had signed up for their Premium Package—a bold move at GHS 3,400—because I wanted my license in 6 weeks, and Rhema promised exactly that.
From day one, the experience was immersive. My theory lessons were in the cozy boardroom, where I sat with about a dozen other students, watching driving concepts come alive on a big screen. We dove into everything from defensive driving techniques to the finer details of the Ghana Highway Code. I even learned how to change a tire—a skill I never thought I’d pick up in driving school!
What really stood out was the team of instructors. I worked with three different teachers, each with their own unique teaching style. One was incredibly patient with manual transmission, another explained road scenarios so vividly, and the third had this calm energy that made mistakes feel like stepping stones instead of failures.
Scheduling lessons and managing the DVLA process could’ve been stressful, but the lady at the front desk was a game-changer. Her updates were timely, her planning flawless, and she always made sure I was on track. It felt like she was rooting for me the entire way.
The school’s cars—both manual and automatic—were spotless and ran smoothly. On the day of my DVLA practical exam, they handed me a familiar car, and it made all the difference. I passed!
Looking back, I’m so glad I chose the in-person classes. I built great relationships with my instructors and classmates, and it made the learning process enjoyable. Now, I drive confidently, knowing I was trained by some of the best.
If you’re a student, a busy professional, or even someone older looking to finally get behind the wheel, Rhema Driving School is where you need to be. They don’t just teach you to drive—they teach you how to get home safely.
