After noticing mold coming from the siding under my patio door, and siding/trim that appeared to be rotting in an interior corner of my patio and along the area where the concrete abuts the siding, I called a company specializing in localizing the source of water damage. There were three reasons for the water damage, all due to poor workmanship by previous companies. 1) My patio door had been installed upside down such that water was seeping into my siding rather than flowing out; 2) the interior corner of the patio had a negative slope allowing water to pool, and 3) Z-flashing had been incorrectly installed so that moisture seeped into the siding/trim and the plywood beneath it. This company referred me to Restoration 1 West to do the repairs. I met with Alex, foreman/supervisor for my project, and he outlined the extent of the work for me which involved: tearing out and replacing all damaged siding/trim with cement board; tearing out and replacing all damaged plywood; tearing out and replacing the patio door; repairing/texturing/painting any damaged drywall that might occur when pulling out the patio door; raising the interior corner of the patio (using a specialized technique called a "cricket"); correctly installing Z-flashing between the siding and concrete; and painting all siding and trim that had been newly installed. All workmen who were involved in this project were not only courteous, but held themselves to a high work ethic! Alex skillfully managed the scheduling of all the work as well as using his diverse set of construction skills to do much of the work. I wish to thank: David and Alex for tearing out the damaged siding/trim/plywood as well as removing the old patio door and installing the new door; Alex for installing the new siding/trim and Z-flashing; Alex for creating the "cricket" which raised the interior corner of the patio so that water flows away from the house; David for repainting the interior area around the patio door where new drywall was installed; and Willie and Adrian for painting the new exterior siding/trim when construction was complete. In addition, Alex was so patient in answering any questions I had during the entire procedure! The team protected my home's interior while working, and cleaned up before they would leave for the day. I could not be happier with the work done by Alex snd his Restoration 1 teammates! I now rest assured that this work has been completed successfully and will last for years to come! Thank you!

Couldn't recommend Restoration 1 enough. We had a sprinkler issue flood our basement and they arrived within 45 minutes and got to work immediately. Due to their quick action and detailed work we were able to save our entire basement carpet (which was brand new). What could have been a disastrous remodeling nightmare was mitigated to a few days of noisy fans. Even our insurance adjuster was impressed with the quality of work and she praised their ability to fix our issues without any major demolition. If you're dealing with a flooding issue don't hesitate to call Restoration 1.

My uncle and aunt had a pipe break in their basement. This company packed all of their belongings in boxes. The basement has been restored and we are helping to unpack the boxes. We are shocked at what we’re finding and felt we had to report this company. We feel like this company has defrauded the insurance company. They used 370+ boxes and at least 25 large garbage bags of packing paper. Many times they only put one or two items in a box and filled the rest with packing paper. The items weren’t even breakable and weren’t even being moved from the house. We found out the company got paid for the number of boxes they packed so that was their motivation for using soooo many boxes. It’s sad to see insurance companies being defrauded like this. Where is this company’s integrity? The first photo shows two plastic trays. They weren’t breakable yet they were the only items in the large box. The second photo shows a box that had nothing in it but two pieces of paper. The third photo shows one nail that was wrapped and put in a box alone. We are reporting this company to our insurance company so they can see they are being taken advantage of.

I'm pretty disappointed to have to write this review. I specifically went with Restoration 1 over a larger clean-up company because I wanted to work with a smaller business that would be more personalized, and ended up REALLY regretting doing so. No part of the process with Restoration 1 was smooth, their team openly argued/rushed each other when they were here which was stressful in an already stressful situation. After they removed all of their equipment on a Friday, I got a call on Monday that someone was "on their way to remove the equipment" that was already gone. I called to figure out what was going on and was told that this was fixed in their system and happened because someone was "on vacation", only to receive another call on Wednesday saying the same thing. When I finally got the invoice that they sent directly to my insurance, it had three extra days of drying equipment in the invoice, so obviously this was NOT fixed in their system. Thankfully my insurance did not pay directly, or they would have paid over $1,000 in fraudulent extra fees for work that was not performed, as no one had updated the start and end time of the work in the system like I had been told. This took over TWO WEEKS to get properly fixed and multiple calls and e-mails. It took so long that I got "reminders" from their accounts receivable that my invoice was due and would start accruing late fees. When I called, they had not looked at the notes that my invoice was wrong/needing update. Additionally, every time you call, you will speak to a different person who has no idea who you are and have to repeat everything. Just a total nightmare and giant headache. During this whole process, no one ever apologized for any of this or made any additional effort for my experience to be better. Horrible customer service, I can't believe they're still in business. Go with another company and never hire Restoration 1 for anything. If you do hire them, look over your invoice carefully because clearly no one at their company is doing so.

Stay far away from this company unless you like highway robbery prices for subpar service. This business is not only focused on extracting water from your home, but also extracting as much money from your pocket (or your insurance company) as possible. I had an issue with an A/C condensation line leaking into my unit due to a clogged drain pipe, which made some subfloor in the mechanical room wet with A/C condensation as well as some hardwood flooring immediately adjacent to the mech room. Initially we did not know the source of the leak. They wrote up a $4200 bid for drying and demolition services to find the leak, remove excessively wet subfloor, install containment barriers, etc. They brought in the drying equipment as soon as I approved of the bid. The company's techs did not end up finding the root cause - but it was thanks to them putting the drain line from a dehumidifier into the clogged drain pipe (rather than a known-working drain or toilet) that my tenant noticed even more water overflowing from it. Since we ended up finding that the condensation line drain was the cause, no demolition or containment barriers were necessary. Instead, we just kept using the two dehumidifiers and a floor drying mats to mitigate the moisture that had already leaked. This unit is currently a rental so I was not present for the work. The techs would come each day to do a "moisture check" and constantly told me that it was still too wet and if I wanted to remove drying equipment I would have to sign a waiver. There was no critical thinking involved or problem solving (considering that maybe the leak was still happening? maybe we should mitigate that with buckets, turn off the A/C, etc.). Instead the tech simply pointed a device at the floor to justify keeping equipment there so they could continue charging me. Finally on the 11th day I asked for photographic proof of the moisture readings. In the photo I received the tech was standing in the shower measuring the tile/stone floor INSIDE THE SHOWER as evidence that things were still wet. The shower was of course in use that morning because someone is living there. I demanded that he remove equipment since the inside of shower is expected to be a wet place, and he still wanted waiver signed. This was either gross incompetence or a blatant attempt to rip me off. I still don't know which. So how much do you think it costs for 3-4 drying machines (dehumidifiers/drying mats) for 11 days, with no demolition or ANY other services performed? $6,400 and change. Absolute racket. $2200 higher than the bid and they didn't even do the labor intensive parts of it (demolition and diagnosis). Go buy your own drying equipment and save thousands. This is not a "service", this is a trap for people who can't do their own work.

My first contact with this company was with Desmond as he was dispatched to assess the damage and begin the mitigation process. Desmond was very thorough and had great communication with me during the process. Repeat visits to check the drying out progress were quick and again, included the great communication. Reconstruction begins Monday and I can only hope that team will be as responsive and detail oriented as my recent experience with all the members of Restoration 1 of West Denver. Additional information: The reconstruction process was great. Dave did fabulous work. He was a wizard with matching the slight texture on the repaired wall, and matched the paint perfectly. Fingers crossed that I won't need water damage repaired again, but if I do, I certainly know I'd contact Renovation 1 of West Denver!

5-Star Review for Restoration One I can't thank Restoration One enough for their incredible service after a kitchen flood severely damaged my hardwood floors and basement. From the moment I called—in the middle of the night—they were responsive, professional, and truly a calming presence during a very stressful situation. Desmond, the lead on my project, was exceptional from start to finish. He clearly explained the process and made sure everything was handled quickly and thoroughly. His crew—Shawn, Shawna, and Sylvia—were absolutely amazing. They were not only efficient and knowledgeable, but also incredibly courteous, kind, and respectful of my home. They went above and beyond what I expected, treating my home as if it were their own. Thanks to the team at Restoration One, a very stressful experience was made so much easier. I highly recommend them to anyone dealing with water damage or home restoration needs.

I hired Restoration 1 of West Denver in September 2025 with plumbing and major mold issues in my condo. The entire Team is 100% professional. They reach out with reminders, suggestions, and thoroughly follow up on their work production. Micah Jefferson and the entire crew go above and beyond trying to assist their customers. Also, their reports are very thorough with pictures, diagnoses, etc.

I had multiple restoration/mitigation companies look at our property which had water damage and these guys were by far the best. Their team was very professional and they sent out three people at no cost to me. The owner sent the estimate in a timely manner and continued to follow up. He was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Some of the bigger mitigation companies wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars just to come look! If you need mitigation and restoration services in the Denver area, think of these guys first.

We came home from a vacation to discover that our garden hose blew off the nozzle and the flowing hose then filled our basement window well with water which then leaked in and made a huge mess in our basement!!! We called Restoration 1 about 6:15 in the evening and they came right out and worked for hours and left huge machine dehumidifiers to dry out our basement over the next 4 days. They helped with everything including replacing the basement window!! We were thrilled with their help!!! Jen, Micah, Jonathan, Candice, Desmond, Tristen, and Luke All helped!! THEY are terrific! I give them a 10 valuation!!
