Restoration 1 of Hartland

I had a sewage issue that caused flooding in the bathroom and basement. My bathroom had to be gutted and rebuilt. Russ and team communicated very well throughout the project, and was very punctual. From start to finish, they made sure everything was done right. I appreciate their attention to detail. They did an amazing job. I would highly recommend.

Woke up to a flooded basement and called Restoration 1 of Hartland at 6am. Not only did they answer right away, but had a crew at our house by 11am! From the initial phone call, we felt like we were in good hands. The team was professional, efficient, and took the time to explain everything that needed to be done. You could tell they genuinely cared about helping us get our home cleaned up as quickly as possible. Grateful for their fast response and solid work, our basement was cleaned up and dried out in a few days! Highly recommend!

Russ saved me TONS of time, money, and heartache. I didn’t trust the way my apartment was handling a leak that occurred while we were out of town. I reached out to Restoration 1 online and said it was an emergency – Russ called me back almost immediately. He gave me a mold IEP to speak with, and he also came over outside of work hours to personally check my apartment. He found several wet cabinets and walls that my apartment had missed. It certainly would have molded if we hadn’t addressed it (my husband is VERY mold sensitive). When my apartment refused to believe it, Russ loaned me a moisture meter to force action. Ultimately, we got everything dried out. I am so incredibly grateful to Restoration 1 for the fast help in saving the day!

I have spent the last two years working with Russ as he rebuilt my home after a devastating house fire. Russ and his team helped make this process as smooth and seamless as he could considering how extensive the damage was. Russ was always responsive to any call or request I had. Walked me through the entire process. Gave me great ideas when it came to storage or layouts. He Even got my lawnmower running (when he didn’t have to) I genuinely can’t thank him enough. He built me my dream home and every day I get to come home and take it all in after such a horrible event. I highly highly recommend him.

Our sump pump went out at our house and we were left with a flooded basement and alot of anxiety. We contacted several different restoration companies and ended up going with Russ Burley - owner of the Restoration 1 Hartland location. Russ immediately made contact with us and was pleasant to deal with through out our whole restoration process. This was our first house claim and first water damage experience so we didn't know what to expect. Russ came to our house for the initial meeting and was very detailed and helpful. One of the first things I noticed about Russ was the first impression. He arrived in his official restoration vehicle and put on shoe covers before entering the home. Although we didn't mind, it was a nice/professional gesture. Russ did not, at any time of the process try to sell or scare us into using his services. He provided suggestions and advised that he would do as little or as much as we wanted. He provided a free inspection report to our insurance company and even gave us some free antimicrobial product to use. Russ stayed in contact with us throughout the process and made an additional stop to inspect the drying process and levels. I was truly amazed at the amount of customer service Russ provided to our family. He had every opportunity to make alot of money off of us and at times, we would have spent it due to the over whelming amount of stress we were dealing with. We will absolutely, without a doubt, utilize Russ Burley from restoration 1 for any future needs and will refer him to family and friends going forward. After researching how best to remove cat allergens from a newly purchased home, I was led to Russ at Restoration 1 of Hartland by an environmental expert. In the first call with Russ, I could tell that he would do whatever it may take to deliver the expected result. No other company gave me that assurance. Russ's team HEPA vacuumed and cleaned every surface in the home, used air-scrubbers, and even added in another half day cleaning and helping with a few extras, plus brought additional air scrubbers for a few days. What is exceptional is that the crew had a great attitude and work ethic, exceeded all expectations, AND went the extra mile, all within the original quote! I love the new house, and thanks to Restoration 1 of Heartland, it's as if the prior owner's beloved pet had never been here. You won't find a better cleaning company that Restoration 1 of Heartland!

Russ started off being very responsive to a basement flood I had back in August. His method was very different from the other restoration companies I had spoken to and he guaranteed his work and process. His team arrived quickly and got everything done! I was impressed. However, it took him a very long time to submit my invoice to the insurance company, which was holding me up from completing my claim to get the money I needed to repair the floors that had been damaged in the flood. Russ told me he had a power outage and didn't have access to wifi to send the invoice, but he would take care of it as soon as his wifi was back up. A week went by...nothing! Each time I called or texted to inquire, he ignored me. I had to have a friend of mine call from his phone in order to get him to pick up the phone. How terrible to ignore a customer! Russ finally sent the invoice to my insurance company, so I was able to finally get my floor restored. I called and texted him to let him know the floor was done and I wanted to know when he would come back to put the baseboards back up that he took down during the restoration process. Silence again. No phone call or texts back. Guess what I had to do again?? You got it! I had to have my dad call from his phone and guess who picked up right away? Terrible! He told my dad he would call me to set up a time to come back to reinstall the baseboards....I'm still waiting for that call. I would NEVER, EVER recommend this company. Everything is fine until you have an issue and then you get ignored and pacified with broken promises. I hate that I paid him the whole amount because I know if I had held some money back, my baseboards would be back up. Beware, and choose another company that actually cares about its customers when a problem arises.

Russ and Restoration 1 of Hartland were fantastic to work with. Professional and knowledgeable, they helped us through a difficult situation. They were incredibly quick, easy to get ahold of, willing to answer questions and give us advice as requested. Russ helped to ease some of the anxieties associated with dealing with a flooded finished basement. Russ’s team got the job done quickly and did a fantastic job. We would highly recommend them!

Russ WAS highly recommended. Which is why it was such a surprise... instead of just telling me he didn't want the job, he decided to stop returning my multiple voicemails and text message. All the while my bedroom was infested with black mold, which he surveyed and confirmed there was black mold in my room. I waited nearly a week before giving up on hearing back from him and moved on to a far more professional company... Environmental Affairs. Look them up, if you're in MI

Russ and team came out to my property to remediate a mold issue that was taking over the shed. They arrived, fixed the problem, gave me some tips on how to prevent this from happening, and were done all in a timely and efficient manner. The bill was appropriate amount and I am very satisfied with the service.
