Restoran Dulang Tokwan (Hillpark, Puncak Alam)

Found this “hidden gem” (not really hidden — I just discovered it recently). Their masak lemak siput sedut is seriously delicious. We enjoyed it so much. The curry also tastes very close to how my grandma and mom used to cook, which brought back good memories. The staff (Bangladeshi) is really polite. He keeps apologising that he forgot my drink. Thanks bro! Its okay. However, a couple of things could be improved. Charging RM2 for sambal belacan feels a bit unnecessary — maybe it could be complimentary when customers order ulam? And the pekasam loma was quite hard, as if it had been over-fried or reheated too many times.

I ordered using the app and had to pay upfront. But I noticed some customers could still order manually, and in the end, the menu items I wanted were already sold out. I ordered the roti sarang burung daging (recommended menu), but it took more than half an hour to arrive. The roti was already cold and hard, and the meat was too sweet until I lost my appetite and couldn’t finish it. That’s enough for me—I don’t feel like coming again. I came in when I was quite hungry, and usually when you’re hungry, everything tastes good… but not this time.

Actually we found this place accidentally at google. Surprisingly the vibe was calm even lots of customers around, waiting for the food quite easy and fast. I ordered for set dulang tokwa - the kari and lemak were superb delicious! Will try next time for the asam pedas 🫶🏻

Recommended sangat for those nak makan lauk melayu asli. This time… We ordered Kari Kepala Ikan Merah (tambah rm10 to the 1pax set to upgrade ke kepala Ikan). So very berbaloi as it is freshly cooked per order, service is super fast within 10 minutes dah siap. And most importantly - delish! Then another set 1pax for Udang Lemak - ada labu inside. Set comes with choice of Kerabu or telur dadar. Since we ordered 2 sets, we got both. Also ordered maggi Bandung for the little one. Desserts we took 1 set and owner belanja another set. Love! We hv been here several times. For breakfast, lunch. And suka sangat sini sbb the kitchen mmg run by makcik orang locals. Moh dtg sini.

Tried the roti canai, lempeng kelapa, and kuih lopes with teh tarik — all delicious! Great spot for a simple and tasty local breakfast.

My husband and I recently had breakfast here. He ordered nasi lemak ayam goreng berempah while I had lontong. The food actually tasted ok but we had better-tasted nasi lemak and lontong at other place. The lontong had thick gravy but somehow lack flavour and didn’t hit the right spot. Otherwise service was good, ambience was cozy, servers were friendly and price was reasonable.

Although I visited here for the first time, the staffs, Faiz and Raimalf, were quite friendly to me and addressed my request to put additional Kaya on an ordinal Roti Telur Goyang perfectly! Will repeat to visit this place to have healthy food from time to time definitely.

Our first time here, ordered nasi sotong and udang sambal. So good! Will come again next time

The nasi lemak was superb, nasi peroi, delicious sambal kerang, n crunchy fresh ikan bilis. Teh tarik was truly Malaysian, rich n satisfying. However, the ventilation inside could be improved. The space felt stuffy, made warmer by the roti canai station right in front, which added extra heat indoors.

Came here with family. Foods are so delicious and taste authentic malay food. Suitable for kids to eat with the foods nicely not spicy. The restaurant is clean and super relax ambiance. Staffs are super friendly.
