Applying for Canadian Permanent Residence or Citizenship and need Police Certificates?
There are different requirements depending on the type of application you submit. Applicants for Canadian Permanent Resident status or Citizenship may need to provide police certificates from every country they lived in for 6 months or longer since turning 18. For most foreign police checks, one or more sets of Ink & Roll prints on a physical fingerprint card is required. Some countries require attaching photos, or even the card to be notarized. Applicants may also be required to provide a Certified Criminal Record Check from Canada during their application process. This would entail taking your fingerprints electronically and submitting them directly to the RCMP.
Red Seal Notary Inc. is a RCMP accredited organization offering both Electronic Fingerprints and Submission and Ink & Roll Fingerprints at walk-in locations since 2010. We are a one stop shop to obtain notarized fingerprints when they are required.
