Dr. Dan Muelhaupt, DVM, MPH
We are excited to welcome Dr. Dan Muelhaupt to Red Rock Veterinary Health beginning October 22, 2025! Dr. Dan joins us from the Animal Hospital of Colorado Springs where he has served as the Medical Director and as an Associate Veterinarian since 2016. Dr. Dan and Dr. Robbie met during the R&D phase of Red Rock Vet and became fast friends.
Dr. Dan graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where he completed a dual degree program earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine along with candidacy for a Master of Public Health in Infectious Disease through Virginia Tech. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from North Carolina State University.
In practice, Dr. Dan has special interests in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and dentistry. He is especially passionate about partnering with pet owners—educating them on preventive medicine, managing chronic conditions, and building strong, lasting bonds between people and their pets, which is why he is a perfect fit for Red Rock Vet. Dr. Dan also has a love of mentorship and enjoys teaching and sharing medical knowledge in a way that makes clients feel informed and supported.
At home, Dr. Dan and his wife, Kat, share life with a lively crew of pets. When he’s not at the hospital, you’ll likely find him snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, or working in his woodshop. He loves the outdoors and is thrilled to now be caring for pets and families here on the Westside.
