Truck accidents are unfortunately common in New Mexico. According to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, a recent year saw 2,658 truck crashes, resulting in 60 fatalities, 97 serious injuries, and 325 minor injuries. Counties with the highest rates of fatalities and serious injuries include Bernalillo, Dona Ana, Eddy, Guadalupe, Lea, McKinley, Santa Fe, and San Juan.
