This was the cover of the Wall Street Journal on Thursday. YIKES! But I want to mention one thing that wasn’t talked about in this article. And that is understanding how statistical averages work when they’re reporting on real estate data. The truth is that the average agent, using average marketing, is really struggling right now. Homes here in Rankin County are taking longer to sell. The Mississippi market is NOT what it was in 2021.
But you don’t have to work with an average agent who uses average marketing!
Personally, I invest more money into my social media advertising than literally any agent I know. Frankly, that’s why you’re seeing this post. I paid to promote it.
And I do the same thing with my listings. In fact, I GUARANTEE I can get your home more exposure than other agents will. More promotion = higher price and a quicker sale.
Remember that even though the real estate market is changing, you are a sample size of one. There is no home like your home. Even in a freshman level statistics class, you’ll learn that statistics don’t matter when the sample size is 1.
That’s the power of marketing. And I take that seriously.
