What to Check if Your Fridge Is Leaking Water
If you find your fridge leaking, you want to inspect the following:
The water supply line to see if it’s damaged
The tubing to make sure that it is properly connected at every connection point
The water filter to see if it’s damaged and to confirm that it’s been correctly installed
A Damaged Water Supply Line
Start by checking if water is leaking from the back of the refrigerator. The goal is to make sure that the water line that’s connected to the household water supply isn’t damaged. Look closely because it could just be a small crack or nick.
Damaged Tubing or Loose Fittings or Connections
Take a minute to check all accessible connections, including the connection point of the supply tubing and those on the back of the refrigerator. You need to also double-check that all the tubing is inserted into all their corresponding fittings. Lastly, look to see if each fitting is securely tightened.
