It Doesn’t Take a Flood to Grow a Forest of Mold
Here’s a common misconception: "If it’s not soaking wet, there’s no mold problem." But take a look at this reading. The moisture meter is in the yellow zone—not saturated—but the visible mold tells a very different story. So, what does it take to grow mold?
Moisture: Just enough humidity or water trapped behind walls or under materials.
Organic Material: Drywall, wood framing, or even dust can feed mold.
Time: As little as 24–48 hours in the right conditions. You don’t need a major water event for mold to take hold. A small leak, poor ventilation, or a slow drip behind the scenes is all it takes. And by the time you see or smell it, it’s already made itself at home.
If something smells musty or looks off—even with "normal" readings—it’s worth a closer look. We’re trained to read beyond the numbers and spot what’s really going on.
