We had an excellent experience working with Fuzz to record a full length album at Radar Sounds Studio. This is a real hidden gem in London as it features both Digital and (ever increasingly scarce) Analogue Tape recording facilities at what we considered to be a very fair price. The studio itself is fully equipped to record using the latest in digital recording methods, but the real magic is the selection of vintage mics, amps, pedals and effects that are available to use on your recording. It’s a real Aladdin’s Cave of interesting gear and peculiar instruments to use alongside your rig to fashion your masterpiece. The Studio itself is constantly evolving, and it seemed as though every time we went there to record / mix there was new gear that we’d not seen before. Working with Fuzz as an engineer was a great experience, he’s really supportive of the whole process and enthusiastic about trying interesting ideas and exploring the unconventional. The workflow is well thought out and even the seemingly simplistic elements such as being able to control your own headphone mix when laying down a track was really helpful. All in all I’d highly recommend Radar Sounds. This would be of particular interest if you’re into vintage gear and analogue recording onto tape.

If you're looking to record onto tape using vintage analogue gear with someone who truly understands how it was done in the good old days, then look no further than Radar Sound. Fuzz is an exceptionally knowledgeable and sympathetic producer and engineer. A musician himself, he knows what makes the recording process tick for artists and, in my case at any rate, he has been able to help me realise the vision I had in my head for how I wanted my songs to sound. I have been absolutely blown away by the experience and all at an extremely reasonable cost. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his brilliant studio.
