Gwen is amazing. I’ve never had an issue scheduling with her. My golden, Hank, comes home well groomed and exhausted. It’s obvious he has fun there as he often makes a friend and is not quick to cling to me upon pick up. I appreciate that Gwen respects Hank’s boundaries (the blow drier is a mortal enemy) but also makes time to adjust and become creative with a fan and a lick mat. She obviously loves and is so connected with animals. I also appreciate and trust her judgment - she is not pushy of services and when I asked her how often I should be bringing him for grooming, she is so honest and is certainly never upselling. If you’re local or even visiting, and am looking for a groomer, I cannot recommend Gwen enough.

Queen City Paw Spa is the best! They’ve been so sweet with my goldendoodle and mini bernedoodle, and it’s clear they truly care about the dogs they groom. Everyone there is patient, kind, and always takes the time to offer helpful advice. My pups come home soft, happy, and smelling so good. It’s such a relief knowing they’re in good hands with people who really love what they do.

I can’t say enough nice things about Gwen and her team at the paw spa. Our sweet Pyrenees/ mastiff mix is super apprehensive with strangers and other dogs and this is the only place I can comfortably// safely take her to get her nails trimmed and grooming needs met. The environment is super calm. The groomer’s approaches to handling and working with the animals individually is unlike anywhere else we’ve ever been. They take care in the way they schedule animals and make sure our spicy girl doesn’t overlap with other dogs that make cause a kerfuffle. The team there clearly cares so deeply about this work and providing wholistic attention to all of the animals that come through their door- and in this industry that can be so challenging to find at times. I hope they open up a location closer to me in the future so that I can make it up there more than twice a year. Thank you Lucinda and Meg for the tip to tail treatment today and for sending Soa home smelling like a beachy coconut. It’s our favorite!!

Hands down best dog groomer in Vermont! Truly in awe at how amazing Gwen is at creating a warm, calm, and happy environment at Queen City Paw Spa. My pup Sadie was always anxious with previous groomers but is completely different with Gwen- she is literally wagging her tail the whole time! What I love most is Gwen’s holistic approach in fostering your pups tolerance threshold and never ever pushing past their comfort level. She is quite literally a dog whisperer and we are so lucky to have found her- not to mention Sadie has never looked (or smelt) better :)

My pup is a rescue and has a lot of trauma, so he gets nervous around new people and doesn’t do well with getting his nails trimmed. Gwen was very accommodating and scheduled us at a time when there weren’t any other animals in the shop, and she was so kind and patient with my anxious little man, let me stay in there with him, and was incredibly generous with her treats. He left smelling fresh and clean! I absolutely will be back

Gwen did the MOST amazing job with my rescue Blue. He was very shy and nervous after being adopted by me only weeks before our appointment. He was in pretty bad shape after being neglected by the person using him as a breeder. Her space is comforting and relaxed with your pet or pets being the only ones there. She even let me bring in the dog I was dog sitting for emotional support instead of having him wait in the car. She was so sweet and patient with him and he looked fabulous at the end. He is so much more comfortable in the heat, and looks like a cozy little baby. 100/10. Highly recommend. Before and after photos ☺️

Gwen is incredibly kind and patient with the animals in her care. I brought her an emaciated stray cat with severe mats all the way down to her skin—an elderly girl around 15 years old. Shaving and bathing an emaciated, super-senior cat is no easy task, but Gwen had all the tools, skills, and gentleness to make the experience as stress-free as possible. Thanks to the products and techniques Gwen used, Gertrude’s skin was immediately less inflamed, and she is so much more comfortable now. I’m deeply grateful for Gwen’s expertise and compassion in helping Gertrude. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Queen City Paw Spa highly enough. I have a very high-maintenance dog when it comes to grooming, and they consistently go above and beyond anything I could reasonably ask for. They are kind, caring people who do truly phenomenal work.

This is the best place to get your dog groomed. I have a finicky senior dog, this a trusted groomer that could not be more accommodating! There is no wait in a kennel to dry, no interaction with other dogs if needed, they are beyond good with all types of pets! I couldn’t recommend them higher! It’s so lovely to find a place to trust with your pup!

absolutely terrific job with my dog! The cut looks amazing and there was a ridiculous amount of hair that came out of him so she did an excellent job thoroughly de-shedding him, I have a long hair dog so he is not an easy groom, asked about specifics and executed what I was envisioning perfectly! Give specific details after the cut to and my dog seemed perfectly happy and chill when I got back and he looks freaking amazing! Will absolutely be returning and booking again, also VERY fair prices for an AMAZING job and being An independent businesses owner and handing everything that entails herself !!!
