Our experience was awesome with this shop! We bought a used VW and took it in for reg service/oil change, knowing there were some issues that would need to be addressed. Kip was so thorough, called and explained everything they found ,rated it and told us what needed to be done in priority order of safety! Sent a detailed list with pictures as well! Clearly this shop cares about their customers and doing a Quality job. I can honestly say this is the best experience we have EVER had at any type of repair shop over the years! The word QUALITY in there name says it ALL!! The gals in the front office are just as wonderful, and very professional! Quality Import Service recently serviced my wife's car, and the experience was exceptional. They were transparent, clearly explaining necessary repairs and identifying items that could briefly wait. The work was completed perfectly, and their customer service was truly top-tier. I highly recommend them!

I wanted to get some services done; like water pump and timing chain. Easy, huh? Well, they want to charge me a diagnostic fee. For what I said; I just want you to upgrade these parts for me. Well, he said, we need to see what else needs to be done or if any other parts are broken. REALLY?!? Just change those parts. I wonder what kind of diagnostic fee is there for an oil change?

The worst of all worlds... a debilitating car issue when you've just started on a long road trip with paid reservations at the destination. I managed to limp into this shop while constantly adding coolant for a leak that developed while on the highway. Kip was frank with me about my options but did everything he could to help me get the issue fixed. When it was apparent that parts couldn't arrive in time and I needed to grab a rental to make it all the way out to Maine by the next evening, Kip and his whole staff were flexible and understanding with my needs to transfer gear over to the rental and to hold my vehicle until I could return the following week. I was also impressed by the thoroughness of their inspection of the vehicle without the aggressive upsell on potential additional work. In short, QIS went out of their way to make sure that my long planned vacation still happened despite the worst of circumstances and for that they have my gratitude. Thank you.

This is THE place to go for trusting service. The front lady is professional and sweet. This is an honest and caring place for quality care for your vehicle. We will never go back to a dealership or other garage again.

Communication was great, before, during and after the service. Kipp the mechanic did great work, everything is running smoothly. Was very upfront about pricing and what the service would entail. Great to have a place like QIS in Elkhart for foreign cars whose parts aren’t easy to get. Receptionist was also super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

I was having problems with my 2004 VW beetle's transmission. I did not know where to take it for repair, but a friend suggested QIS. I took his advice and was treated very nice. They advised me as to what was needed and explained what it would cost. They did a very good job, and I am very satisfied. After a week or so they even called to see if I had any complaints or problems with their work. This is definitely a great place to take your import car. Give them a try.

I contacted Quality Import Service (QIS) and they called me back a day or so later, and Kipp spent nearly a half hour informing me of their history, technology, experience, training, professionalism of his technicians, and just did a wonderful job of gaining my trust and an overall good feeling about sending my AUDI A8 L baby there. I had received quotes from Audi dealers and other shops, which were extremely high, they took forever to quote the replacement of the water pump, thermostat and crank case vent valve, and I usually didn't get a good fuzzy feeling about them. QIS emailed me their quote in less than an hour, after reviewing what work was needed, and the quote was broke down into parts, labor, miscellaneous fees, taxes, extra. I signed the quote and paid half down, the same day, so he could order the parts. Kipp stated that the work would take three or four days, but he had it done in two days, and for exactly the amount he quoted me; plus they did a complete inspection with detailed notes of things to watch, and he washed the car before we picked it up. We have been driving it a week now, with no issues or problems. Kipp is a very methodical, detailed, professional and caring hands-on owner, which puts his customers first. I highly recommend Quality Import Service, and I will not take my Audi A8 L anywhere else. QIS is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I had to have my mechatronics changed out in my car, and I had a better than expected experience. The car was fixed earlier and came with no other issues. They also called later on to confirm if my car was still working adequately or not.

Kip and the ladies at Quality Import Service were fast, friendly, and efficient. They called me every step of the way as they worked on my son’s BMW 328 I, explaining the issue they found, the solution and then cost in a way that was understandable to a non mechanical person, showing patience and I have to admit they were the first shop to work on a vehicle for me and call later to check that the vehicle was not having any problems after they worked on it. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their BMW or other foreign vehicle worked on. Thanks for all your business did to get my son but on the road.
