Pancreatic Cancer vs Neuroendocrine Cancer of Pancreatic Origin
Most cases of pancreatic cancer are pancreatic adenocarcinomas which behave aggressively and often spread quickly because of their thick stroma and numerous gene mutations. Unlike cancers originating elsewhere, pancreatic NETs are not common, but usually grow slowly and spread differently, impacted by their hormone production. Because of this diversity, different kinds of treatment and prognosis are required.
