IBS vs Colon Cancer
Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or IBS, is distinct from colon cancer, the two being different challenges of the gastrointestinal tract. A functional disorder, irritable bowel syndrome affects an individual with abdominal pain and bowel habit changes along with bloating but structurally does not create a damage. Along with the genetic mutations like APC, KRAS, and the environmental factors, malignant neoplasms in the colorectal region are called colon cancer. The difference between these diseases is critical because, once identified with colon cancer, improved treatment outcome and prognosis scalability becomes possible.
