Responded to my call right away. I was unfortunately between a rock and a hard place when the water at the street refused to turn off and a water pipe burst inside a wall directly behind my water heater. I have copper pipes and this particular pipe had already had a section removed due to pin hole corrosion by another plumber.
Unfortunately, another pin hole had formed in a nearby location. Instead of a patch they opted to remove approximately a yard of pipe to replace it with PEX. I am happy with the repair quality so far, in that I have had no more leaks but I do not feel that the material cost or the repair service warranted such an extreme cost. I feel that they took advantage of the situation for less than 30-45 minutes of work. They exceeded the quote I was given over the phone when they returned my call by almost triple the price.
I WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN. I FELT DEEPLY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. THEY KNEW THE SITUATION I WAS IN AND DESPITE THEIR ASSURANCE OF THEIR RATES BEFORE THEY STARTED, THEY SERVED ME A BILL THAT EXCEEDED ALL RESONABLE EXPECTATIONS.
I hesitated for a long time about posting this review. I gave myself plenty of time to cool off and consider what had occurred but I finally felt that I should share my experience so that this does not happen to someone else. I will let you be the judge. Would you pay $789.99 for a yard of PEX piping for approximately 30-40 mins of work, even if it was an urgent request? Would you consider this reasonable pricing or would you feel taken advantage of?
