My dog, Rusty, did a puppy class at Prescott Valley Dog Squad. It was amazing. I was so impressed I decided to do a board and train with Donna (who I had heard was incredibly talented). Rusty spent 3 wks with Donna and came home happy, well mannered and obedient. We have continued to work with him daily using the instructions Donna gave us and his progress is phenomenal!!

Our dog Atlas boarded and completed four weeks of board and train. After board and train Donna followed up with private sessions to make sure WE were trained. Atlas is doing great.. He is a pleasure to walk now; he doesn't pull or react to other dogs. We are working on recall. Donna has been very supportive and we are very happy with his progress.

We love Jessica Ruttle and the Prescott Valley Dog Squad! Our cattle dog Donut went through a 3-week board & train program with Jessica, and the results were astonishing. We have continued training with Jessica through transfer sessions and ‘pack walks’ at different locations to get Donut used to various surroundings. Donut is so much more obedient and responsive now. We would absolutely recommend Jessica and the Squad to friends and family!

Prescott Valley Dog Squad is great!! I've only had two training sessions so far but they have been wonderful with my two puppies who are a handful. They are very good at what they do!! I would recommend them to anyone needing some dog training!!!!!

We are huge fans of the entire PVDS team! We started with the basic puppy S.T.A.R training for then 4 month old highly energetic male Havapoo; Teddy. After graduating from learning the basics with Storm, we entered into a few private sessions with Shelby. Teddy was so responsive that we made the decision to do a 3 week Board & Train with Shelby. What a wonderful experience! Teddy no longer jumps on people as he meets them and loves training! He is a well mannered 7 month old little pup! The entire team at PVDS are true professionals that provide the appropriate specialized training for your pup! There is a very good reason they have been voted the area’s Best Dog Trainers!

We recently had an outstanding dog training experience at Prescott Valley Dog Squad with Shelby. Despite having a notoriously stubborn Frenchie, Shelby worked wonders with our pup. Her expertise and patience truly made a difference in our dog’s behavior. Highly recommended!

So far, so GREAT! We had 4 private lessons with Shelby to help us with our Norwich Terrier, Dink's, barking. He's the perfect dog RIGHT UP until the doorbell rings and/or someone comes into the house. Then he's totally obnixious...to use a good friend's word, for about 3-4 minutes barking his fool head off...then chills and is great again. Shelby spent time with us helping us understand why he's barking and how to use commands to help him calm down and get into chill mode much faster. We have a long way to go in reinforcing the right behavior...but so far...so good!

Prescott Valley Dog Squad did an excellent job of training both my Service Dog and I on specific tasks related to his job and other fun tricks to provide an outlet for his high energy when not working. They are extremely professional and great at listening and helping find solutions and provide wonderful insight into the Service Dog mindset. It was a wonderful experience working with both Shelby and Donna. Kudo's to the team for knowing when and how to coordinate training with other team members (my dog required both in facility as well as in-house sessions, thus the reason for the hand-off to a second team member). Also enjoyed the group "pack-walks" each week. This was a great way to reinforce public access skills in a location with distractions (both unexpected and planned). I spent over 3 months finalizing my Service Dogs task training and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to fine tune their Service Dog capabilities.

The board and train is life changing. I left a puppy with Donna that bit me and left scratches and bites on my arms and legs. I got back a pup that hasn’t bit me once. In addition to that she learned place, here, heel, and the general foundation for a bunch of commands. So thankful for the PV Dog Squad. Wouldn’t ever get another dog without having a board and train planned.

We were at our wits’ end with our Golden Retriever puppy Nash. He had so much energy and we had no control. Thank God for Donna and Lisa and crew at Prescott Valley Dog Squad! We started with their puppy class but need more so we enrolled Nash in the 3 week Board and Train. Nash came home a different dog! He still has his puppy energy but we now have control and Nash listens. We are finally able to enjoy him, take him out in public, on drives, walks and hikes. We highly recommend Prescott Valley Dog Squad to anyone needing help with their pup!
