As soon as we arrived Chris greeted us warmly, and in a very short time presented us with a lovely cream tea.
The views from the property could hardly be beaten, the sea, the greens, golf course, the cricket square, and up the slight hill you came down, leading back into Bude town.
We had the Gold Room which has its own balcony and seating , and I only slightly mark it down to 4 star, to alert you to the fact that there are stairs to climb. The Green Room is on ground floor and so easier for some.
The meals are lovely. I certainly couldn't manage all courses at dinner, and had, at my own request a smaller "Cornish" breakfast than the one on offer.
If you've been before, as we have, you will know what a lovely little town Bude is with it's quite different small shops.
Lots of places around and about to go, great shopping in Bideford, lovely garden centre if it's raining, lovely beaches when it's not.
Tip - finding the Pot & Barrels own car park slightly tricky the first time. As you approach it says 'Penarvor Apartments Private Parking'. Ignore and drive through and you will be exactly where you want to be. Enjoy.
