🐭 Exterior Gas Line Gap Identified – Ottawa
During a recent inspection, we found deteriorated mortar around this gas line penetration. Over time, exterior sealants and foundation mortar can crack and shrink, creating small gaps into the wall cavity.
In many Ottawa homes — especially older neighborhoods like Nepean, Gloucester, and parts of Alta Vista — these utility penetrations are common access points for rodents.
Mice can compress through openings as small as ¼ inch.
