Pooler Karate has been a game-changer for my child. It’s hard to find a place that teaches kids the 'fun' side of Jiu-Jitsu while maintaining the structure and respect inherent in Karate. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and experts at keeping the energy high. My son has gained so much confidence and focus that carries over into his daily life. It’s more than just a gym; it’s a place that builds character and friendships. 10/10!

I took my kids here a few times for their private lessons, and board breaking events. The instructors and staff were helpful and nice. We usually take class at Effingham Martial arts, so this was a different experience but no less awesome!

We have only been attending this program for a couple months now and my son has made drastic improvement with his behavior and self control. The instructors are amazing and there are always so many adults to intervene with the children and keep them engaged and focused. We also do private lessons with Ms. AJ and I have to shout her out because she is so patient, attentive and supportive!!!! My son adores her and she has helped him improve so much. He really loves karate because of Pooler Karate!!

My grandson absolutely loves attending Pooler Karate. From the moment we walked in, it felt like more than just a martial arts studio—it’s a vibrant community. The instructors are deeply supportive, helping students not only master techniques but also build confidence and discipline in every class. We’ve watched him grow so much—gaining focus, respect, and enthusiasm for learning. It truly feels like a family where every student is encouraged to succeed. If you’re looking for a place that fosters physical skill and character development, Pooler Karate is an outstanding choice.

Pooler Karate is an amazing place with incredible people. The instructors do a wonderful job teaching martial arts skills along with developing character. Stormy has done a fantastic job teaching the homeschool Krav class. We cannot overstate the positive impact she and the other instructors have had.

My kids have finally gotten to an age where they get challenged both physically and mentally in their daily lives ( at school, in their community and literally everywhere) and before signing them up i started seeing self doubt in their troubles but once the started attending they not only learned karate skills and self defense skills but the way they encountered challenged changed. Their 6 tenants are practiced at school and at home and it has shown that they demonstrate respect in meaningful ways and improved by having an indomitable spirit and perseverance towards challenges and goals that are set for success. The instructors are all so amazing and know how to teach all kids at any level and age. They are incredible!

Our son loves his Lil Ninja classes! The instructors are so patient and encouraging, and they make learning fun with games and activities. In just under two months, we’ve seen so much growth and confidence — he can’t wait to go each week!

This karate school has been wonderful for my 5-year-old daughter. She is improving her skills every week and, most importantly, gaining confidence and overcoming her shyness. The instructors are kind, motivating, and great with children. She is learning so much and absolutely loves her classes. We highly recommend this school!

The gym is great both for children and adults. Me and my daughter attend Jujitsu. We have trained at 4 different gyms and this is tied with American Top Team for the best. I like the coaches who are professional and test their skills in competition. The photo is my daughter who is training with a larger partner and using her skills to great effect.

My son loves this place. He started in January and at first it was to just get him to be active, but now he looks forward to working with his instructors. The instructors are fun and makes the kids want to learn more. He is in karate, but I see he'll be doing Jui-Jitsu soon!
