This practice is on a list provided to me within the last two weeks by my health insurance. In addition, when I called them to make an appointment I specifically asked if I was covered in network, and they had me send a copy of my health insurance card so they could check it out in advance. They did NOT bother to check it out, and when I showed up for my appointment, they concluded that I was not in network. Big waste of time and extremely inconsiderate.

My review is strictly for the optical retail side. Dr Mehta is great, but the customer service was poor and the prices for lenses over the top. Years ago, when it was locally owned, you didn't have to send your glasses off to get a Rx refilled. The owner would finish the lens off in the back room. That made the higher prices worth it. Now, it took 15 business days to get my glasses back. I was promised 3-5 days when I ordered them at the end of December. That would have meant delivery at the latest BEFORE the first snowstorm. I kept calling to check on status and kept getting excuses about the lab taking extra time off, then the snowstorms—which I kept pointing out started AFTER the promised delivery date. I even went into the store and made Mo call the lab; I indicated I was very displeased at the lengthy delay. He left them a message and then as soon as I walked out, forgot all about me and didn't call me to apprise me of what the lab said. I spent close to $700 for one progressive lens and new lenses in sports goggles, single vision, with photosensitive lenses that barely darken and are totally inadequate for playing outdoors. I sent a lengthy email to the practice manager more than 2 weeks ago. Got no response, so I resent it a week later. Still no response. It's strange that she would have a personal gmail address, not one for the company. Maybe the title means that she's only practicing to be a manager. I will continue to get my exams from Dr Mehta but will never fill another prescription here. Not paying Lexus prices for Volkswagen service. This is not the Point of View from the old days.

I've been twice, once for a normal checkup and once for an emergency visit. Both times I was there, the doctors were personable and listened to my issues. I feel well taken care of. It's easy to call and get help (and they check their voicemails!). I had an issue with a medication not being covered by insurance. I left a voicemail after hours and got a call the next morning with the help I needed. Update: two days after my initial eye exam, I developed swollen eyes. I've never, ever, ever, had that before. I went back to VHD and was informed it was an allergy. When I asked if it could have been the eye doctor poking my eye with a q-tip or not cleaning materials appropriately, I was scoffed at. This issue took almost a month to resolve, no one called to check on me, and I feel like I was lied to. There was an emergency appointment right before my check up and with the timing, I can't help but wonder if I caught a virus there. I sought medical care elsewhere and am fine...I know this place is great with VSP insurance but I'd rather pay out of pocket for reliable healthy care.

Amazing experience! My wife has been needing glasses so we tried Point of View. Natalia was the assistant that helped my wife and was so helpful and patient. We were there for quite a while but Natalia made us feel so welcomed. She is probably the most knowledgeable eyewear assistant I’ve ever seen. She definitely knows what she’s talking about and her experience in the business is very obvious. After everything, I knew I wanted my wife to get her frames there as I felt we were in good hands.

A true act of kindness!! I walked in at 5:50 pm hoping they can do something for the broken Handel of my dental loops! The owner was very helpful and took them back and fixed them immediately! I was so excited since I had been working on my patients without my loops and it was giving me a headache for 2 days. I also could not believe it when I offered to pay and he did not charge me for this amazing service! I had a smile on my face all the way home! Thank you! I will be back for sure.

Now under new ownership, the level of service has fallen off badly. I miss the small-town service this of the previous owners. Every customer would have had positive stories such of those posted before 2019. Under the new owners and management, the eye care services were excellent. But basic business practices are badly broken. Good luck guessing their hours. There is different information on their website, phone message, in Google’s information, and posted on the front door. This makes it VERY difficult to know how to gain services (such as picking up glasses).

Dr. Ellis saved me! Under a tight deadline with part of a contact lens stuck in my eye, I am grateful to Dr. Ellis for fitting me in for an emergency appointment. Within minutes he skillfully found and extracted the lens. What a relief! Very friendly and helpful staff.

This is the only visual health location that doesn't accept Anthem blue view insurance, but don't expect the website to tell you that when you make an appointment. I only found out when I showed up for my appointment, and apparently I'm not the only one showing up with the wrong insurance according to the staff. They were able to make a small adjustment to my sunglasses that helped them fit better, so plus one star for that. Best to call when you make an appointment, their website is very broken.

They were terrific the entire time. Very nice and professional and went through multiple frames and lenses for me to try on to pick the best one. They always called when they said they would and we’re all around awesome. Highly recommend for your eye care needs.

I have been a customer of this establishment for over 20 years. Early on, my relationship with it was rocky; the then owner, now deceased, was often gruff; he even YELLED at me once: "I'm giving you the discount, so why are you complaining?". (Sorry, folks, but stuff like this stays with me when I experience such odd behavior, as a customer, for goodness' sake!). I don't know why I didn't just flee and never come back! But I stayed loyal, and the ownership changed, and things are much much better. Prices are reasonable, but hold firm if you want something and you're being quoted something higher! Service is first-rate.
