How to Pack to Save Time and Money!
Packing plays a big role in how long your move takes. The more organized and ready everything is, the faster and more cost-effective your move will be.
We always recommend boxing up anything that can fit in a box and clearly labeling each one by room. It also helps to keep boxes at a manageable weight so they can be stacked safely and moved efficiently. Make sure all boxes are taped shut well—open or overfilled boxes tend to slow things down more than people expect.
If you want to speed things up even more, try staging boxes near your garage or main entrance so they’re ready to go when the crew arrives. Using items like suitcases, laundry baskets, and storage bins is another easy way to pack more efficiently without needing extra boxes.
For furniture, removing small or fragile items ahead of time and placing hardware (like screws or bolts) in labeled bags can save time during reassembly. Keeping similar items together and avoiding loose items around the house also helps everything move more smoothly.
A little preparation goes a long way—being fully packed and organized before your movers arrive is one of the best ways to save time, reduce stress, and keep your move running efficiently.
