Player 1 Video Game Bar has a relaxed, cozy vibe with low lighting and plenty of arcade ambience. I really appreciate the small details, like drink holders by the machines, gender neutral bathrooms and the fact that you can rent modern games and controllers from the front desk.
The staff are friendly and often in costume, which adds to the atmosphere. One of the front desk people, Gamma, always makes me laugh and feel welcome. They are happy to help, even when I rent and swap out multiple game and accessories in a night 😅.
The drink selection is solid, there’s caffeine when I need a boost, and there are several food options within walking distance if I’m planning to make a night of it.
