Choosing the Right “Doughnuts” – Building Muscle for Life & Longevity
I’ve been thinking a lot about muscle and how it’s central to our health – they even call it “muscle-centric medicine.” As we get older, building and maintaining muscle is one of the best things we can do for our longevity, health, and overall vitality.
‘It simply Feelsgood’
Here’s the thing: we have choices. We can choose the sugary doughnuts – quick hits that don’t do much for us in the long run. Or, we can choose the kind of “doughnuts” that build us up – small weights, even just a kilo or two added each week, that create real, lasting strength. By choosing the right doughnuts (even if it’s just that little extra weight on the bar), we’re setting up a strong foundation for the future.
When we talk about progressive overload, it’s about nudging our muscles to grow by lifting a little heavier over time. We’re not just building muscle; we’re boosting our health span, which improves our ability to live fully and independently. It’s like investing in ourselves – choosing that empowering, feelgood path to strength.
So, let’s choose wisely, pick up that extra weight, and feel the benefits of these “muscle doughnuts” that keep us thriving.
Stay strong and empowered!
Feelgood Regards
