I'm releasing my 2nd book; it's about my son. To save money I was going to go the "English major friend to save money" route. The more that it looked like that wasn't going to work out - I started to consider pricing professional proofreaders. Around this time my son got his driver's license; I was tracking him driving one day and the vicinity he was in showed a place nearby called "PJC Editing & Proofreading" I had not heard of the place, let alone known it was located so close to my house. The next day, I called and spoke to the owner Phil and he took on my project. In Phil, I found a team member who gave my book the TLC it needed in bringing it over the finish line to exactly what I envisioned for it. Yes, the grammar, punctuation and spelling were 100% but more than that I invited Phil in as a collaborator and as such he is someone who's opinion I have come to trust and respect.
