Want a Volcanic Wedding?
Iceland Wedding planner Pink Iceland has excited adventurous couples getting in touch wanting to be married at site of Iceland's latest hot ticket, the erupting volcano on Reykjanes peninsula. You can imagine our reactions to those emails, we are always excited when our couples want to do something different, want to try something new, get married in a boat on the arctic circle, inside a dormant volcano and now at the site of an active volcano.
Over the years we've had plenty of inquiries from travelers and people getting married in Iceland wanting to get married at an active volcano, finally we can answer their questions with a YES! Icelandic Wedding officiants are lining up to be the one getting the couple married with no background music, rather just the rumbles of the volcano and crackling of the newly formed lava. Involving something like, melting of hearts will probably be in the wedding speech.
Pink Iceland has a pop up changing room, a small little tent type of thing where the soon the be wed couples can change from their hiking gear into their wedding attire. For the Wedding picnic there will of course be Lava bites (hraunbitar) and definitely something bubbly to wash them down with.
