I can’t say enough great things about Pilot in Training Flight Academy. After college, I decided to pursue aviation with the goal of earning my ratings as efficiently as possible. I began my flight training in September 2024, and by September 2025, I’m proud to say I’ve earned my Private Pilot License (PPL), Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot License (CPL), and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate. A huge thank-you to my instructor, Jan, for guiding me through this entire process. He was the best instructor I could have asked for—his experience and expertise allowed me to learn both quickly and safely. His flexibility made it possible for me to stay on track while still customizing my schedule around my needs. I appreciated being able to take time off for vacations without disrupting my progress. Jan also made training enjoyable by flying to interesting airports and keeping each lesson engaging, all while maintaining a strong focus on learning and safety. The other instructors at Pilot in Training were also incredibly helpful and generous with their time. From discussing ground topics to joining me in the cockpit, many instructors contributed to my success along the way. Special thanks to Jeremy, Dost, Anders, Brandon, and Josh for all their support. The entire team of instructors is knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about helping students succeed. The overall operation of the school is outstanding—thanks in large part to the owner, Slava. He truly cares about every student’s success and goes above and beyond to accommodate individual goals, schedules, and learning styles. Slava was always available to answer questions and help make my journey as smooth as possible. I also appreciated the opportunity to build time with other students, which not only saved money but also provided valuable experience. The ability to rent planes easily was another huge advantage that helped me progress quickly. Lastly, the maintenance team at Pilot in Training is exceptional. Aircraft are rarely out of service, and the mechanics are always quick to address any issues that arise. Safety is clearly the academy’s top priority, and that’s reflected in their diligent maintenance practices. I had an incredible experience at Pilot In Training Flight Academy! My instructor was amazing, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. He walked me through every step of the process, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable in the cockpit. Today’s flight with Chris was unforgettable! He carried himself with total professionalism and confidence. He explained everything clearly, checked in on us throughout the flight, and made the whole experience feel safe, smooth, and exciting. It was truly the best experience we’ve had in a long time. If you get the chance to fly with Chris — do it. He’s phenomenal.

I've been training at Pilot in Training Flight Academy for both my PPL and, most recently, my Instrument Rating, which I passed just last week! I've had such a great experience here at PIT and couldn't be happier. The team here is knowledgeable, supportive, and well-organized. I've grown so much as a pilot thanks to the environment Slava has created in order for me to succeed my full potential.

My son, Victor, has just graduated Pilot in Training Flight Academy with his Private Pilot License. Throughout his training, he’s received lots of support from the staff and instructors to ensure he gets the best and smoothest paths throughout his training. His instructor, Jeremy, was super knowledgeable, kind, and supportive and taught Victor everything there was to become a safe, responsible pilot. His flexibility helped with making scheduling lessons easier and convenient. Before his flight training, Victor attended the in-house ground school which Pilot in Training runs, helping him learn the basics of aviation and start his flight training. I’d also like to bring up Pilot in Training’s focus point on maintenance, as it was some of the best and was always at the highest quality. I was always worried about the safety of airplanes, but the mechanics here ensured me that the airplanes are always safe to fly. Overall, Pilot in Training’s detailed training program, personalized experience, and focus on safety makes it stand out from other flight schools in the area, and I am confident that they have taught Victor to be the best pilot he could be.

This flight school was an amazing experience for me. The instructors were excellent and extremely professional. For someone who has a full-time job, they were able to tailor the flight schedule to fit my needs and were provided applicable instructions to help me confidently pass my check ride.
