A chipped front tooth like this one is one of the most common reasons patients walk into Picasso, and one of the most rewarding to fix.
For this patient, we used a single hand-crafted porcelain veneer to restore the broken edge. No drilling of the healthy tooth next to it. No crown. Just a thin layer of porcelain, shaped and shaded to match the surrounding teeth so closely that even the patient struggles to tell which tooth was the chipped one.
A composite filling on a front tooth often discolors within 1โ2 years and chips again. A crown requires removing significant healthy tooth structure. A veneer sits in between: minimally invasive, color-stable for 10โ15 years, and indistinguishable from natural enamel because it's hand-layered in shades drawn from the patient's own teeth, not a catalogue number.
Every veneer at Picasso begins with a portrait study of the patient's face. Even a single tooth. Because one veneer that matches is harder than ten that all look the same.
If you've been living with a chipped tooth: for a week or for a decade, book a portrait sitting. We'll show you exactly what's possible before anything is touched.
