TECAR Therapy - it is a diathermy (i.e. deep tissue thermotherapy) therapeutic modality, therefore it uses increases in local body tissue temperature, in combination with subthermal application to promote the body's healing response. TECAR technology is non-ablative, non-invasive, using currents of high frequency, usually in the range between 300 KHz and 1 Mhz. It can work in two modes of energy transfer: capacitive mode (affects tissues with higher electrolytic content such as soft tissues and muscles) and resistive mode (affects tissues with higher resistance - joint, bone, tendon).
TECAR is used not only in rehabilitation, but also works well as a cosmetic procedure, more commonly known as RF wave therapy. In the condensation mode, with the use of a bipolar electrode, we gain a quick and lasting effect on the skin. Nowadays, you can often come across the term that radio wave action is a facelift without the use of a scalpel.
