Cuong Q, a 39-year-old rideshare driver, exited the 303 freeway and drove into a left-hand turn lane. As Cuong was turning, Marco N., a driver for Clean Harbors Environmental Services, allegedly made an illegal left turn from the center lane and collided with the passenger side of Q's car which caused Q to strike his head on the driver-side window. After the collision, he experienced neck and back pain, as well as numbness and sudden weakness. He later underwent a diskectomy at C5-6. His medical expenses were more than $297,100. We sued
sued Clean Harbor Environmental Services and Nieves, alleging negligence on Q's behalf.
The defense argued that Q was speeding as he exited the freeway. We settled during trial for $1.5M. We reached a good result for our client and Q was pleased with the settlement.
