I cannot say enough good things about Pet Medic Urgent Care and Dr. Thay. Dr. Thay and the entire team have provided excellent care for my cat. He developed an aural hematoma, and they performed a procedure two weeks ago, followed by attentive and thorough follow-up visits. At our first appointment, everyone was so gentle and kind with my baby. Dr. Thay explained the diagnosis clearly and took the time to walk me through the condition and the steps we should take moving forward, especially since my cat is older. I never felt rushed and truly felt heard. The day after his procedure, I received a call to check on how my cat was doing and to review his at-home care, which meant so much to me. Their communication has been outstanding throughout the entire process. It’s clear that this team genuinely cares, not just about their pet patients, but about the owners too. I’m incredibly grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and support we received and would highly recommend Pet Medic Urgent Care to anyone.

I drove from florida to alexandria to see my mom, my trip turned not so good quite fast. I noticed some blood in my dogs urine. I immediately made an appointment here to get him in quick. The staff went above and beyond. Dr. Thay and all of the techs were incredible. I wouldn't recommend them enough. Nugget is very weary of new people he knew the techs and vets were here to help him. Prices were fair and good, but the care is most important to me. I hope I don't have to come here again but this would be my first choice.They even brought Nugget and I both water as well as spray cheese for nugget since he was such a trooper for his x-rays.

Dr. Thay and his team are absolutely amazing. He’s extremely knowledgeable, direct and honest which is what is needed to take care of my fur babies. Never been so happy having a vet take good care, whom I trust, for my two cats. Thank you!

Was a pretty good first experience! The free first exam is great for those of us affected by the shutdown. My puppy came in for her exam and shots, and I found the prices to be pretty reasonable. The Vet Tech was super nice and friendly. The vet was so so - not super friendly but seemed extremely knowledgeable and thorough. When I asked a clarifying question about one the vaccines, he was well-prepared and knowledgeable without being rude or condescending. I may switch my older dog to this location. The one-month free of the puppy nexguard plus is a great incentive.

PetMedic offers wellness care too! Sign us up! Millie and I loved the staff here. It's a great comfort to know that 7 days a week, I can self schedule even urgent appointments. Her wellness appointment was very thorough. She was due for her vaccines so they even quickly obtained her records!

Just like with your human baby, you want to know that your fur baby is getting Quality care and by ones that Care. And here They Do! My list of questions answered, I didn't feel rushed, wasn't pushed to get super expensive treatments that could be re-evaluated at a later date. Loved that the staff were multiple pet owners so they understood my heartfelt concerns. My fur-baby was loved. I'm so glad my Deena has a medical 'home' if & when needed. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and caring staff. Dr. Thay was excellent and honest regarding his diagnosis of our 10yo GSD. He sat with us long after our appointment ended to help us make the best decision to move forward in a meaningful way. Highly recommend Dr. Thay and his team!

My dog had a concerning issue and I was able to get a same-day appointment on New Year's Eve. Max, Jocelyn, Dr. Thay, and the rest of the staff (sorry I didn't catch all the names!) were absolutely phenomenal from start (when my dog peed on the scale during weigh-in) to finish (when they watched my sedated pup for me while I ran to the garage to get my car curbside). Courteous, professional, personable, knowledgeable, informative, and genuinely caring are all adjectives that describe but don't capture the full picture of care that my dog received. I was leery of a pet urgent care and almost waited until the following week to get seen at my regular vet but have no regerts. Top-tier.

The doctors and staff at the Alexandria Pet Medic are fantastic. The place is always clean and welcoming. Very fast service. I’ve been there three times with my canines and I was always out the door within an hour.
