Is honest business really that hard?
I visited Petbar Boutique Katy last weekend for a full grooming service for my miniature poodle, Fluffy. I was told the standard price was $85, with a possible additional $15–$30 because of some tangles. The store manager even brought out the groomer, Daniel, to see my dog in person, and he confirmed he could do the job. We scheduled the appointment for Tuesday at 8 AM.
When I arrived for the appointment, the manager was no longer there and Daniel was alone. Before even saying good morning, he pulled out Google Translate and told me he would charge an extra $100 on top of the original price. Mind you, he had already seen my dog a few days earlier when the pricing was discussed.
So instead of the agreed range, the total suddenly became $185. When I reminded him what had been discussed with the manager present, he simply said, “I decide that.”
Changing prices at the last minute like this is unprofessional and dishonest. I left without the service and will not be coming back.
