Pennington Restoration

I knew from the first time I talked to Michael that he was the exact right person to entrust with our family heirloom. He transformed our sad, broken, tattered little birdseye maple dresser back into the beautiful piece of furniture it once was. He's an amazing craftsman and and a delightful person that really cares about each piece he works on. I had almost given up on finding someone to restore the dresser but I'm so glad I didn't!

Mike began his work with us by doing a consultation in our house to tell us how he could restore/update our 1948 liquor cabinet. He used the lines and colors in our home as the guide for his work. He artfully brought this battered piece of furniture back to life in a magnificent fashion that makes it appear as though it was built specifically for us. Mike anticipated questions and desires and was available for these at all times. He was also very accommodating to mid-project changes.

Micheal did a great job. made my wobbley chairs solid again, fixed a support leg so that it supported again, and gave my table and chairs a better than new finish.

My house was vandalized . Look at this mess ! Michael Pennington restored these as if they were brand new . His work is phenomenal! He is such a kind, caring man . I’m in tears ! Thank you 💕

My wife and I really enjoyed working with Michael restoring my parents 80-year-old desk. His work is exceptional, and the desk looks beautiful. Michael has been at this a while and has a deep knowledge of the nuances involved in restoring furniture. The desk had a top level secretarial element built on a base. Unfortunately the glue holding the top together had totally fallen apart over the years. Additionally, the desk had a dark red stain that was typical of at the time it was manufactured. Michael expertly reglued, stripped and refinished the desk in a lighter brown color. This all was done in about 8 day’s time and we couldn’t be happier.

We couldn’t be happier with the furniture restoration work that was done for us. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding, and our table looks absolutely beautiful—better than we imagined. We are so very pleased with the restoration of Mom’s Ingraham mantle clock which is over 100 years old. Michael took such good care with the clock and showed true kindness with my mother. The clock arrived to Michael in pieces and he returned it to us fully refinished and working. We just wanted a beautiful piece but to have it working was amazing.

My husband (who is 70) inherited this marble topped commode that traveled through the country in a covered wagon from his great grandparents. As you can see from the pictures it was in super rough shape. It was a real gift to find Pennington Restoration as Michael is a true one of a kind restorer and artisan in his field. He was meticulous and detailed through every part of this project and we were totally amazed with his beautiful work. If you need a restorer Michael is "The Guy." Michael was a pleasure to work with. I brought him a chest from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s and he restored it beautifully.
