I took 9 years of Spanish, all the way through junior year college, but so much time has passed, that I've lost most of it. I've been wanting to take Spanish classes to refresh for years now, but kept putting it off as something I'll do "when I retire".
Then, yesterday, I had a brief conversation in Spanish with someone who didn't speak English, and it reminded me how much I love the language. Fast forward a few hours, and I now have a weekly online Spanish tutor and joined an online conversation group - viola, my 2021 goal is to become conversational in Spanish again. Saying it here publicly so I can't back out of this!
