Peak Carpentry and Deck

Peak Carpentry did an amazing job on reworking my two decks that had been repaired and cobbled together over the years by other people. Peak's owner, Brandon Helms gave me options for both basic repair and comprehensive work. He didn't pressure me to make a decision, but his details and advice did help me decide on exactly what needed to be done. Brandon was professional from the moment I met him. All proposed work was given to me in writing and Brandon did exactly what he said he'd do when he said he'd do it. My decks look beautiful and are so much sturdier than they were before. Hunter worked with Brandon on both decks. These two are so much more than "deck builders". They are true craftsmen and artists.

Same with construction as I'm observing.My neighbor watched Brandon and Hunter build my deck and saw all that I mention earlier in this review; so, naturally, he hired Peak to do his. And it is exactly as superior as mine! Almost, yr later, Brandon is still the best!! Same work ethic, ( he's a strong as heck guy doing much himself), respect for HOA parking rules, clean-up, and the same sweet kind young man! We are now in day 3, and Brandon and his crew, Hunter, and Brandon #2, are one well oiled machine! The hermit in me is able to be alive and well as I DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING, NOT ONE DARN THING! I've never, in 30 yrs of home ownership, experienced such professionalism while being courteous as they are respectful of my HOA neighbors re parking, my property, and as important, the project of my new long awaited, deck! My anxiety situation is NO ANXIETY! Stay tuned! #1 I'm still in planning decision making stage for replacing my deck; however, I've decided on Peak because of Brandon Helms. Yes, their reviews are excellent. But it's the way Brandon has: 1. On time to appt 2. Competent Assessment of my present sub structure 3. On time estimate with all of the options I requested from repair to complete rebuild. 4. Response time to emails 5. His patience in his responses are incredible as he receives my questions by acknowledging their importance to me and offers suggestions, etc. 6. And will include some basic concerns in our future contract which gives me confidence. Now, I once had a great experience initially on a large project and sad to say didn’t end well. But as with everything, sometimes one has to jump in and pray. I will with Peak.

Brandon completed our deck at the end of 2024. I give him my highest recommendation. He is very professional, kind and respectful. He takes pride in his work. He is very thorough makes sure everything is completed the right way. We are lucky to have found him and his team.

Peak replaced a rotting pergola on our back deck and they did a phenomenal job! They even put our sun shade back up when they were done. Timely, courteous, thoughtful, and so easy to work with and the finished product is great. Couldn't ask for better!

Brandon was so super courteous, professional and friendly. Everything from the initial consultation through to the completed job ran smoothly and on schedule. Brandon kept me updated on the progress throughout. And I couldn't be more happy with the finished product! Brandon went to extra lengths in cleaning up and helping me with a couple of things. Peak is a top notch operation for sure!

This company did a fantastic job on our deck! We had some major dry rot issues. Not only did they fully repair everything but they also made it even better and safer (used high quality wood, butyl tape, joist hangers). The cost was very fair (they itemized it so I understood each element) and competitive vs. other quotes we received. The young man that gave the quote, Brandon, was also the same person who did the work (along with two teammates). That’s rare! Communication was excellent! This company is very professional. Lastly, we have porch swing that hangs from our deck. They went the extra mile by removing and then reinstalling it perfectly! I’m grateful for their hard work and highly recommend their services.

I chose Peak Deck & Carpentry because it is a smaller-sized, locally owned and operated business. This aligned with the task at hand, replacement of my decaying back porch deck. I received a prompt, fair and competitive quote from Brandon within a few days of calling. He and his partner Hunter were able to start the job weeks earlier than I expected, and they completed it a day earlier than proposed. Their efforts were first-rate, and their results were outstanding, from the initial layout to the successful problem solving to the attention to smallest details to the final clean-up. I happily give Peak Deck & Carpentry my highest recommendation for their professionalism, courtesy, craft and good nature. If you're looking for a more personal, expert experience rather than taking a number with a corporate franchise or a "we do everything" outfit, Peak is worth your attention. I'd confidently choose them again for a carpentry-related project.

Brandon and Hunter did an excellent job on my deck. They stripped it down to the bones and rebuilt it from there. It now looks great. They do excellent work and are easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend them for any deck work you may have.

I hired Peak to replace my back deck stairs and I couldn't be happier with that decision. Brandon was professional and responsive and Peak rebuilt the stairs in a timely manner and with an exceedingly reasonable price tag. I am extremely happy with the quality of the stairs and Peak will be my first call if I have any other deck or carpentry needs.
