Dr. Amy helped us navigate the devastating and sudden need to help our beloved pup cross over the rainbow bridge. She was compassionate, kind and understanding all while being professional yet empathetic. We are so grateful for the loving touch she extended to our boy crossing over, his brother who was left behind and to myself and my husband. She is truly one of a kind.

What a heartbreaking service to have to recommend. My heart is with you if you are reading reviews and having to make an impossible decision. And my gratitude will forever be with Dr. Amy for helping me through those last moments with my best friend. My girl, Swayze, was at the end of a long health journey, spent 5 days in the vet ICU right after Christmas, and was cleared to come home to me on New Years Eve, knowing that she would likely never make a full recovery. We were both just grateful that she was home and we could spend whatever time she had left together. We both did our best, but she woke up a few days later remarkably worse and we knew. As much as I came to respect and trust her vet, I couldn't bear the thought of her in another exam room and I ended up right here, reading testimonials and trying to do the best by my girl one last time. As frequently stated, Dr. Amy responded promptly and kindly, conducted her business with dignity, and talked us through the whole process before starting and while she was working. She anecdotally mentioned past patients like they were friends and spoke about them with a warm smile. Most importantly for me in that moment, she was able to schedule us within a few hours. As horrible as it is, not having to wait was the biggest kindness Dr. Amy could have shown us that day. When it was done and only after I was ready for them to go, the last thing Dr. Amy said was that Swayze would be "hanging out with with her" until the next step -- like she was still watching out for her, even after passing. Dr. Amy: I'm sure it's not lost on you that you are meeting people in the same moment as their lives are changing forever, likely not in a happy way. It's not lost on me how seriously you take that. Thank you for your compassion, wisdom, and strength through that experience. You made an impossible day a little easier to navigate and gave me peace in saying goodbye. Forever grateful.

Dr. Amy is a true professional with the utmost compassion. She made one of our most difficult days as a family a little bit easier with her prompt communication, kind demeanor and incredible professionalism throughout the process of saying goodbye to our sweet Gunner boy. His passing was handled with dignity: from the way she entered our home, to how she communicated with our children, to the way her vehicle was set up to transport. We are so very grateful. Dr. Amy, thank you for providing this service to our community on our toughest days; you are amazing. 🌈 🐾

The gentle care Dr. Amy gave Abbie made an unbearable day a little easier to navigate. She explained every step with such kindness and never made me feel rushed, allowing me to say goodbye to Abbie in the comfort of the home she loved so much. I am eternally grateful for the dignity and peace Dr. Amy provided for my sweet girl's final moments. I cannot recommend Dr. Amy highly enough for anyone facing this heartbreaking decision.

We have used Amy twice now and both times the experience was exceptional. We've had experiences with both in office and home euthanasia; by far and away, home is better. They were surrounded by everything familiar and their last sense was of home and not the fearful vet's office. Amy was very caring and compassionate both with us and our dogs. She took her time, answered our questions and she was respectful of our grief giving us plenty of time to say our final good-bye. She gently placed them on a stretcher and covered them with a blanket up to the neck before loading them in her vehicle. I am so grateful for Amy and the service she provides. It takes a very special person to do that job.

Dr Amy with Peace for Paws was so kind and compassionate when she helped our 14-yo dog cross the Rainbow Bridge. Our dog had recently been diagnosed with cancer, and she took a bad turn on a Sun when our regular vet was closed. Dr Amy had been recommended for in-home euthanasia, so we called her. Dr Amy was at our house within 1.5 hours and gently worked with our dog to help her cross Rainbow Bridge. Our dog was able to rest on her own bed, surrounded by those who loved her, to the very end. It was the most peaceful passing of any of our pets. We highly recommend Dr Amy and will definitely call her for our next pet’s passing. Thank you, Dr Amy! ā¤ļø

Seems odd to rate this kind of service. However, if it helps even one family make the right choice it will be worth it. Dr. Amy Ehrmentraut made one of our worst days bearable. She was unbelievably kind, patient and professional. Procedures and next steps were laid out and clearly explained. She accommodated our emergency time request. Then waited with a clear understanding of the situation for all family members to arrive safely and gave them time alone to say their goodbyes. There was not an ounce of suffering. Nor a hint of what can be the cold detached aloof demeanor of the medical community. Dr Amy clearly knew what we were going through. The manner in which transport was arranged, disposition of the remains, etc. was all seamlessly carried out and thankfully easy to navigate. Upon leaving, there was no rush, no sense of urgency on her part. You just knew that tailgate was not getting closed until she was sure we were ready.

Dr. Amy was truly a blessing to our family. We had an appointment to send our sweet boy over the rainbow bridge on a Monday. When things got too bad with our boy we needed assistance on a Saturday. Though it was later in the day and very short notice Dr. Amy was there to comfort not only our boy but every one of us who loved him so much. She was so kind and compassionate, sat with us and allowed us all the time we needed. Dr. Amy was a true angel when we needed just that. Our appreciation and gratitude are everlasting. She showed love to our boy without ever knowing him and provided him a calm and fearless passing. We will forever recommend!
