I’m sure everyone wishes for a good life. After all, there’s nothing better than spending time with someone you love who makes you happy to be alive.
Of course, opinions of what makes a good life can vary greatly, but I’d say health and happiness are two BIG ones everyone would likely agree upon.
But what do you believe your dog or cat thinks constitutes a good life? Somewhere comfy to sleep? Food delivered regularly every day? Love and attention from their adoring owner?
I’m sure all of the above apply, but I’d like to give you a little more insight by sharing a useful quality-of-life scale for dogs and cats. You can use this information to simply assess your pet’s life.
Working through this scale, considering your pet, will give you a decent picture of your dog or cat’s quality of life. Your results will help you decide whether your pet needs a vet’s visit or maybe to cross that final bridge.
