Does that sound weird? Maybe…but after all these years as a veterinarian, I’ve seen a lot of pain and suffering. I know there’s only so much you can do for an animal before it’s time to say goodbye, and no amount of wishing and hoping can change the facts.
So I decided to write about being an end-of-life vet, so you can see what we do, why we do it, and what you can do when faced with an end-of-life decision for your beloved pet.
I can walk you through this tough decision with compassion and grace because, no matter how much you want them to stay with you, share your life, keep you company, and soothe your pain, you must consider the quality of their life too.
